Harrison Ford, Calista Flockhart attend Cannes Film Festival

As they entered the red carpet for Ford’s upcoming film, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” at the 76th International Cannes Film Festival, Harrison Ford and his wife, Calista Flockhart, were beaming with happiness. As they walked the red carpet at the Palais des Festivals on Thursday, the couple held hands and took pictures for the cameras.Ford also posed with the film’s cast and crew for a group photo that included Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Ethann Isidore, Shaunette RenĂ©e Wilson and director James Mangold.

“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” is the fifth film of the “Indiana Jones” franchise.

Ford, who has played the film’s legendary hero archaeologist since the 1981 film, “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.”

In “Dial of Destiny,” which is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel, and executive produced by Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, Indiana Jones races against time to retrieve a legendary artifact that can change the course of destiny, according to a synopsis about the film.Ahead of the film’s world premiere screening, Ford was surprised with the Palme d’or d’honneur for his contributions to cinema.

The actor was moved to tears as he received a standing ovation from the audience.

“Thank you so much,” Ford said. “I’m very touched, I’m very moved by this. They say when you’re about to die you see your life flash before your eyes and I just saw my life flash before my eyes. A great part of my life, but not all of my life.”

“My life has been enabled by my lovely wife, who has supported my passions and my dreams and I’m grateful,” he added.”You’ve given my life purpose and meaning and I’m grateful for that,” he told the audience. “So grateful to have the opportunity to work with artists like Phoebe (Waller–Bridge), even Mads (Mikkelsen). And I’m deeply moved by this honor and humbled. But I got a movie you gotta see. It’s right behind me so let me get out of the way and thank you again for this great honor.”

“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” will be released in theaters on June 30.
